7. BOARD OF DIRECTORS
   
   1. The executive of the Council shall be:
      - the past president
      - the president
      - the vice-president
      - the secretary
      - the treasurer
      
      
   2. The Board shall consist of the five directors listed above plus the following:
      - a recreation professional
      - a representative of the Westisle Family or Schools and West Prince French Schools
      - a representative of Lennox Island
      - one artist from each of the following areas: music and dance, theatre, visual arts and crafts, community school, creative writing and publishing.
      
      
   3. All officers of the Council shall be elected at the annual general meeting. However, in a case where a duly elected officer is unable to fulfill his complete term, the remaining members of the executive may appoint a qualified active member to complete the uncompleted term.
      
      
   4. All committees which the executive and membership shall deem necessary may be appointed by the executive.
   
   
   
8. MEETINGS
   
   1. There shall be an annual general meeting held each year in May on a day and a time to be determined by the executive.
      
   2. Other general meetings may be cancelled by the executive as needed or at the request of one third of the active members of the Council. These meeting locations to be rotated around the West Prince region.
   
   
   
9. AMENDMENTS
   
   1. Any active member wishing to amend this constitution may do so by supplying the secretary with a copy of the resolution, a month prior to the meeting.
      
   2. Amendments to the constitution may only be considered at annual general meetings.
      
   3. An amendment must receive a majority of 2/3 of the active members present at an annual general meeting.
      
   4. When an amendment to this constitution has been made and accepted, an updated copy of the constitution shall be sent to all members, within 30 days of the acceptance of said amendment.
